have a joint project of the Division Chemistry-Information-Computer (CIC) of the German Chemical Society (GDCh) and the Division of Chemical Information (CINF) of the American ACS Chemical trade company designed an international publication platform with integrated editing and peer review system. The FIZ CHEMIE Berlin has a modern, interactive repository XCITR , eXplore Teaching Chemical Information Resources realized technically and operates the server.
Science Teaching and training material for the chemical information may in future be for teachers, technical writers and information providers on the international platform on the Internet, edited and reviewed. With the repository XCITR , a modern software system for storing, deploying, collaborative assessment and use of electronic documents is designed to offer educational materials earned the interested public around the world for further use.
XCITR is not just for teaching staff and for libraries in the area of chemical information. It should be that professors, teachers and trainers of other areas related to chemistry information, a reliable source of high quality teaching material. To ensure the quality of the collection, newly recruited materials will be reviewed before activation of an academic editorial board (Editorial Board). Provided texts, films and visuals can be provided that the author or information provider allows, also passed on or even modified. You can sign up as an individual workspace, evaluate documents, comment and participate in forums.
The innovative interactive system, the basis is promising for the international educational cooperation in the chemical information is on the 6th German Conference on Chemoinformatics early November in Goslar (7.-09.11.2010) in a lecture and an exhibition stand presented.
