Can Gonorhoea Remain Dormant

Miss July, and Mr. Shirty

You can not actually live in Berlin, at least not without a visit to a film at the Berlinale . And certainly not if a friend works there and bring the movie tickets for an apple and 'n egg. Time served (who can go even during the week to 12 hours to the movies?) but then it just for the movie "The Future " by Miranda July , I can verwurschteln the meeting for our excellent art magazine. For Mrs July is indeed full-time artist, even if the name of this lady who has her fingers in all areas in the game, not really enough.

And the film? Wonder wonder wonderful! Sophie and Jason are a couple for four years and live in a small apartment in San Francisco. Actually, their relationship has long since passed the expiration date, we know that, unfortunately: you have nothing more to be said that the processes are rehearsed, but the courage to separate themselves, one has not even then. Or you're just too lazy.

Thus, the two decide to move on a step - and a terminally ill cat to adopt. But the prospect in a few days together to take responsibility for a small living things can be, the two somehow fallen into panic when her life would soon be over - ("In five years we're 40 Thats nearly 50 then it's over!) They decided to revamp this spontaneously. What is the relationship but ultimately does not help.

Perhaps the film falls a bit in the division "rather for girls," although I Friedrichstadt huge palace where the good play was shown to hear men laugh uproariously hab. In any case, it is here - even an artist or not - not a stodgy art film, but the fit for cinema showing a relationship crisis with some loving and somewhat oblique. Vivid T-shirts, anyone? More but I will not reveal now. Should the film be shown in a small cinema near you, take it all to you! Yes, that's an order!

More to / from Miranda July, there are way here or here or here.
